The Future of 5G?
They say 5G is the future of technology and this well-known aerospace company just claimed its stake in the growing sector.
Omnispace, LLC and Lockheed Martin (LMT), have officially reached an agreement to begin the exploration of 5G technology capabilities in space. The deal included what is referred to as a 5G standards-based non-terrestrial network (NTN). NTN’s would offer commercial enterprise and government communication anywhere and everywhere.
This type of advancement could really redefine the industry of mobile communications. Tired of your calls dropping? Losing service at the worst times? And slow download speeds?
Well, if successful, this agreement could change everything and improve the world of mobility for all users, regardless of where they’re at.
Where’s the money?
Thanks to the innovative vision of Omnispace, the agreement could bring the idea of “one global network” to life. This will be done by using non-geostationary orbit satellites and combining them with the leading mobile wireless carrier networks.
And after a year of negotiations, together, the two companies would be able to build a network that would provide the coverage and capacity to support essential applications requiring seamless, reliable, global communications.
And this is exciting news – but at the end of the day – we have to be realistic.
Will this work?
But there’s no denying that it’s great progress for the tech world and I think it will draw more attention, and money, to the sector. And here’s how you can play this surge.
How do I get some?
I truly believe this move will ignite a rally in the space technology sector. And I think this exciting press will help that come to fruition even quicker. But I’m not looking to invest in LMT anytime soon. I believe this agreement has a long way to go – and I’m not one to sit around and wait for my money.
Instead, I’m looking at a tech name that we’ve been seeing an influx of call buyers run to.
And that stock is Nuance Communications (NUAN).
NUAN is a multinational computer software technology corporation that is trailblazing in the world of speech recognition and artificial intelligence. And lately, we’ve been seeing buyers flock to this name, leading me to believe that we could see more progress coming from them soon.
That’s why on the cusp of this possible space tech breakthrough, my attention is on a name that many may not be focusing on – but they should.
So, with that said, NUAN is my pick for this sector and I’m looking forward to seeing what it will do.
In the Spotlight: The Chip Shortage Panic
In case you missed it, there’s a computer chip shortage – and it’s hitting an unexpected sector and really hurting big names while it’s at it.
The computer ship shortage has officially reached automakers and it’s delaying deliveries of full-size pickups and SUVs.
And while this chip shortage isn’t new – in fact, many automakers committed to using the chips they have on hand in an effort to stay on top of production – it seems like the supply has run dry. Company like Ford (F) and Stellantis N.V. (STLA) are having trouble delivering completed vehicles to their dealers.
Ford has even announced that it has began to build some of its vehicles, including the best-selling F-150, without some of its chips. They will park those incomplete trucks while they wait for the missing chips. But this doesn’t help dealerships who are desperate for inventory.
And these companies are already trying to deal with the fall out that this disruption of deliveries will cause. General Motors and Ford have both warned investors that the chip shortage will reduce their 2021 earnings by more than a billion dollars.
You have to guess this has led to some unhappy investors and truthfully, I believe we’ll just see this issue become more and more prominent.
But as this development continues, I’ll be sure to keep you updated on the progress of chip production and deliveries. And the second I see a profit opportunity, you’ll be the first one to know.
Ford Motors Isn’t Alone in Its Hurt
While some investors were upset to hear about General Motors and Ford’s anticipated losses, that’s nothing compared to what hedge funds felt a few months ago.
They took it on the chin, courtesy of a large group of rogue everyday traders piling into certain stocks, forcing them to cover their massive short positions… they’re still feeling the effects today.
Now that Wall Street’s worst nightmare has become a reality, I’m finally ready to share with you the secret to beating the fat cats at their own game.
